High Point Market: Fall 2014
I survived another high point market. While I love going twice a year to meet with my vendor and see everything that's new and exciting in the design world, it's 5 days of non-stop walking and talking. I'm thrilled to be back home hanging out with my husband and sleeping in my own bed but even as I compiled pictures for this post I realized I already missed it. There's something pretty incredible about (roughly) 75,000 furniture + design lovers packed into one small city, sharing their talent. Here are the highlights:
Kelly Wearstler Collection for Visual Comfort: I was lucky enough that one of those people happened to be the incredible, and dare I say breathtakingly lovely, Kelly Wearstler. She was debuting her lighting line with Visual Comfort and while her style is decidedly glam, I thought she designed pieces that were incredible versatile. Art like, even. In fact she mentioned that a good share of the collection was inspired by jewelry and natural stones.
Erin Home: The granddaughter of Este Lauder has built a beautiful (albeit pricey) lifestyle collection catering to the luxury market in, what felt like, New York. She had a slice of EJ Victor's showroom this market and I was thrilled to see her fresh take on a more traditional style. My favorite thing about her space was that even given the formality, her furniture was still very inviting.
That pretty much wraps up my High Point experience this fall. If you want to see more of my journey check out #cwdoeshpmkt or follow us on instagram.
